GMC SLOVAKIA & CROATIA

Methodism has been present in this region over 100 years. Every major historical epoch had set back the development of our ministry – world wars, political regimes. After the fall of Communism (1990s) we could finally start rebuilding the Church. After its formation we joined the Global Methodist Church and formed an Annual Conference which at the moment covers Slovakia and Croatia.

There are 8 churches in Slovakia and 1 in Croatia.

Both these countries are predominantly Roman Catholic which puts the GMC – alongside with other evangelical denominations – to the margins. This pushes us to reconsider where our roots are, what is our special mission in Christendom, our time, as well as in our respective contexts.

GMC in Croatia

GMC Zagreb is part of our Annual Conference, although in a different country.

  • commitment of ordinary disciples to make disciples and multiply churches

  • new places and people groups reached by the gospel both in Slovakia and Zagreb

  • travel stipends to itinerary missionaries to help them reach new communities
  • charity projects in needy communities
  • education and leadership developments

VISIT US

Come and serve with us. We welcome vision teams or ministry teams to advance God’s Kingdom in Slovakia and Croatia.  These can include:

  • Vision Teams: experience the church in Central Europe and discern our needs personally, become our ambassador back home
  • Ministry Teams: hands on projects (simple building, landscaping, as well as kids/teens camp ministry)
